High End Vs Drugstore
Hello my beauties! I had mentioned in my previous post that I would be reviewing my favorite drugstore primers. I have 2 primers I absolutely love and are all under $20! To find the best primer for you, first you have to know exactly what you’re looking for in a primer. Do you have oily skin, large pores or both?
Maybelline Baby Skin Primer $4.89
What Maybelline says about their primer “Minimizes the appearance of pores & blurs imperfections for flawless skin.” Baby skin has a silicone texture that sets smooth into the skin and creates a smooth canvas for your foundation. It does help minimize the appearance of pores, and its best for normal skin because this primer does NOT control oil/shine.
NYX Angel Veil $16
What Nyx says about their primer “Super silky, creates a smooth canvas, minimizes shine.” This primer has a more moisturizer texture not silicone feel to it. Its white an this one does leave a white cast to my face, it doesn’t moisturize the skin if I have a dry patch it will cling to it. This primer also does not minimize pores, but it does keep you MATTE! So If you’re an oily girl I highly suggest this primer. Makes your foundation look smooth and last longer.
I like to use both of these primers together only because both of them combined create the perfect primer for my skin type!
Now if you’re really oily and you’ve been looking for a primer to help you with that problem I highly suggest these next primers they’re under $45 and worth EVERY penny!
Makeup Forever Mattifying Primer $43
Lightweight , leaves makeup looking fresh an matte for hours! I apply the primer around my Tzone an you can literally feel it working!
Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Primer $44
This primer eliminates excess oil for long-lasting matte skin. Leaves skin fresh and minimizes the appearance of pores. Now this primer is INTENSE for mattifying! It literally leaves your skin soo dry/matte! It can leave your makeup cakey if you use too much, an it will begin to crumble if you don’t use it correctly. When I use this primer I use a tiny pea-size amount an PAT it in to my Tzone area. The key is to pat this primer in not rub.
Happy to share all my beauty finds with you dolls! What do you look for in a primer? Leave a comment down below with your favorite primer!
